All of the pet portraits on this website are hand drawn by me - Michaeline. I have been creating pet portraits for over 30 years. Every portrait is hand drawn in my studio in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, with attention to detail and my love for animals.

I offer a range of standard portrait sizes from small head-and-shoulder studies, to large full body or multiple pets layouts. The most popular sizes are 9 x 12 inch, 11 x 14 inch, 16 x 20 inch, or 20 x 24 inch. Multiple pets portraits are available only for sizes larger than 11 x 14 inches. I am happy to help you choose the best size for your portrait ideas.

Each portrait includes the hand drawn portrait created on archival paper using professional quality pencils or pastels. I protect the portrait with glassine paper and foam core and place it in a clear resealable polypropylene print sleeve. This is then placed in a presentation box with a handwritten card and care instructions. I create a beautiful presentation perfect for gift giving.

Most charcoal portraits are completed within 2 - 10 weeks depending on my wait list and the complexity of the portrait. Let me know if you need the portrait by a certain deadline. Pastel portraits take 2-4 months to complete.

To order a portrait all you have to do is:

1. Purchase your choice of charcoal or pastel portrait and the size you want to order.

2. Email me as many photos of your pet as possible. I will go through them all and help you choose the best photos for me to use as references.

3. I paint the photo, keeping you updated of the progress as I go.

4. I lovingly package the portrait for gift giving and ship it to you or directly to the gift recipient.

Yes. I can paint up to 2 pets in a size 11 x 14 inch portrait, and up to 3 pets in a 16 x 20 inch and larger. There is an additional charge per extra pet or other subjects.

Yes, I offer beautifully packaged pet portrait gift cards and mail them to you to personalize or I am happy to personalize it for you and ship directly to the gift recipient. You can order pet portrait gift cards here.

Yes! I can paint portraits of pets and people.

No, I do not accept refunds or returns on custom portraits. Portraits take weeks or even months to complete working full-time every day on them. I keep you updated during the production of the portrait and let you approve the final portrait before it is shipped.
